A new cycle has begun

I feel like I have just closed an important cycle of my life. Since the 1st of October, I am enrolled as a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. While my Ph.D. will only start from the 7th of January, I am already working in the S4FS research team. Many things are already coming out, that is why I have just opened the research category on this website...

What is next? (an update after Summer vacation)

I am slowly going back to real life. The last 7-8 months have been intense and challenging for me. On 23rd July I successfully graduated with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science (Software Engineering). The thesis comprised two intense empirical researches on the role of affective states for software developers. Thereafter, I spent a wonderful week in Majorca, to completely relax. I...

OpenPomo development has stopped

Time to admit it. I do not have the time to continue the development of OpenPomo. It has been funny to start the (probably) first non-trivial Pomodoro Android project ever. OpenPomo development started on October 2009 as a University project, under the name Pomodroid. I don’t even remember when it was first released to the public, as opensource software. My commitment to the project has...

Non spedite il vostro Tablet Asus in riparazione in garanzia. Una terribile esperienza

asus transformer prime broken after rma

Looking for the English version?

Do not RMA your Asus tablet in EU. A terrible experience.

Cerchi la versione in italiano? I love recent Asus Android tablets. Even if they are not the cheapest, they possess terrific hardware characteristics. I decided to work hard and spare 716,80€ for the Transformer Prime TF201 (32GB model) and the corresponding dock. I bought it online on 2012-03-20. Although the GPS and the WiFi connections are not the best, I was a lot satisfied with the product...

New theme for Ineed.coffee

You have noticed it, Task3 has now a new layout and new graphics. For the first time in my life, I decided to purchase a commercial theme for WordPress. The theme I was working on for Franz Magazine new website (it will be online today at about 18:00 GMT) is a commercial one made by WPZOOM guys. I have to admit it: they sometimes code horrors under the hood, but are very creative and brilliant...

Just created a Personal Landing Page

In the last two days I developed my personal landing page, hosted on . It is a nice looking, metallic minimalistic page, that currently contains: Some words about me My Curriculum in Italian and English My latest Tweets My latest blog posts Some contact information It has been developed using the ideas from a Lifehacker article, but I completely rewrote the design part using a JQuery accordion...
