kickstarting the okf open science group for italy

2013-12-27

I received the honors (and the responsibilities) to kickstart the Italian chapter for the Open Knowledge Foundation Open science working group. I am so happy that I have not been alone since the beginning. Together with two OKF Italia founding members (my old friend Maurizio Napolitano and Francesca de Chiara) and two first open scientist to join (Alessandro Sarretta and Angelo Varlotta), I aim to kickstart a long-lasting fruitful working group to bring a much needed open science in Italy. For this reason, i will sometimes post in Italian, using the italiano tag.

Please see the Open science Italia website http://openscience.it and the mailing list [open-science-it], both hosted at OKF servers.

Wish all of us good luck!

What we really need now is to get people on board. Please spread the links around as much as you can. Talk about them on the social media channels, post them on your blog, and spread them in your university.

We need people. We need you.
